The Boone County Fiscal Court will receive bids from qualified vendors to perform the services associated with the Resurfacing (Milling and Paving) of County Roads and Streets as identified in the attached street listing. Work shall include all labor, equipment, materials and services necessary to complete the work described in this Invitation to Bid. A bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in equal amount to five (5) percent of the bid (including Add Alternates) shall be submitted (electronically) with each bid. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The County will deduct daily charges as agreed liquidated damages for each calendar day without regard to inclement weather or the temperature limitations in the Contract, except that the County will not deduct liquidated damages when the specified seasonal or temperature limitations prohibit the Contractor from performing work. The successful bidder may be required to obtain a Boone County Occupational License. If required and bidder fails to obtain, it may result in termination of the contract. Boone County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and to negotiate for the modifications of any bid or to accept that bid which is deemed the most desirable and advantageous from the standpoint of customer value and service and concept of operations, even though such bid may not, on its face, appear to be the lowest and best price. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time of receipt of bids. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality if it is determined to be in the best interest of the County.
