Proposed Phase 2, Brocton Water Main Replacement for the construction of the following Project: PROPOSED PHASE 2, VILLAGE OF WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT, EDGAR COUNTY, IL. The Project includes the following work: Replacement of approximately 9,690 LF of waterline, hydrants, meters, service lines, and related costs in Brocton, Illinois. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Village of Brocton Water Main Replacement, Phase 2 Obtaining the Bidding Documents A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Village of Brocton, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. This project is funded in whole or in part with grant funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Attention is called to the fact that 1) not less than the Federal prevail ing wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; 2) The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3, 24 CFR Part 75; and 3) The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Specifically, the Contraetor shall complete and return the Intent to Comply with Section 3 Requirements with their submitted Bid. The Village of Brocton reserves the right to re-ject any or all Bids or to waive any informali ties in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Village of Brocton for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
