Proposals are invited for Contract No. P200.857 which involves furnishing the required labor, equipment and materials, on an as needed basis, necessary to maintain and repair steel beam guide rail and signage on the Garden State Parkway from Milepost 0 to 172.4 in Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Cape May, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Passaic, and Union Counties, New Jersey. The work will be as directed by the Engineer for a period of 18 months from the date of Notice of Award and shall terminate on the date 18 months after the date of the Notice of Award. Contractor shall be capable of mobilizing a minimum of two (2) independent work crews at one time, complete with sufficient traffic control devices and full lane closing capabilities. The principal items of work include: Emergency Mobilization 175 Each Shoulder Closings 250 Each Lane Closings 175 Each Replace Beam Guide Rail, Pre-Stained 80,000 LF Replace/Install Complete Tangent Guide Rail Terminal (TGRT), Pre-Stained 250 Each Replace 6'-0" Pre-Stained Guide Rail Post and Blockouts 3,250 Each Bidders must be prequalified under Contract Classification 13, Guide Rail, Rating $20 million Maximum prior to the receipt of bids. For proposals submitted by joint ventures, each member of the joint venture must be prequalified in the Contract Classification, and the sum of the ratings held by each member must be within 10 percent of the total price bid by the joint venture. In cases where the sum of the ratings exceeds $50 million, the joint venture's rating will be Unlimited.
