2023 CDBG Paving Project Estimate: $700,000 The deadline to ask questions is 5/02/2025 3:00 PM CDT The Project includes the following Work: The project involves full-depth hot-mix asphalt and limestone base reconstruction of existing pavement along N. 5th Street and W. Avenue A in Jarrell, Texas. New concrete ribbon curbs are planned along the entire project length. The intent is to reconstruct as much new paving as possible based on market prices at the time of bidding. Project has an expected duration of 180 days. The City of Jarrell, Williamson County, Texas, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate must be paid on this project. The Contractor must comply with the requirements of the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act, 41 USC 8301 note, and all applicable rules and notices, as may be amended, if applicable to the Grantee's infrastructure project. Pursuant to HUD's Notice, "Public Interest Phased Implementation Waiver for FY 2022 and 2023 of Build America, Buy America Provisions as Applied to Recipients of HUD Federal Financial Assistance" (88 FR 17001), any funds obligated by HUD on or after the applicable listed effective dates, are subject to BABA requirements, unless excepted by a waiver.
