Jenney Pond Bypass Channel and Dam Repairs The Town of Plymouth seeks bids for the furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, apparatus and all other incidental work required to complete the Jenney Pond bypass channel, dam repairs and site improvements. This agreement shall be for the period as specified in the Notice to Proceed, and is to be completed by December 31, 2026. Liquidated Damages of $500.00 will be charged for each day the work has not been completed after the agreed upon completion date. A Bid Deposit is required in the amount of five percent (5%) of the approximate total value of the bid based upon the bid price, and if applicable, the estimated quantities as shown on the Bid Form price schedule. Such Bid Deposit shall be in the form of a Cashier's, Certified or Bank Treasurer's check payable to the Town of Plymouth, or a bid bond from a licensed surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Bid Deposit of the successful bidder will be returned upon execution of the Contract. All others will be returned upon Contract award. The successful bidder must furnish a bond in an amount one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract Price for payment by the Contractor and/or Subcontractors for labor performed or furnished and material used or employed therein, payable to the Town of Plymouth, issued by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the premiums of which are to be paid by the Contractor and included in the bid price. The successful bidder must furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Construction Payment Bond, payable to the Town of Plymouth, issued by a responsible surety company doing business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Town of Plymouth reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive technicalities, to advertise for new bids and to split awards as may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
