Chip Sealing of various roads within Canton Township, Stark County, Ohio Allows zero unit prices and labor Yes Allows negative unit prices and labor No It is assumed the intent of all bid items is clear from the item description and specification. Any questions regarding any portion of these Contract Documents should be addressed more than 5 days prior to submission of a bid. The seal coat shall consist of either RS2 or CRS2 emulsified binder. The target application rate for the proposed single chip seal is 0.42 gallons per square yard. The cover aggregate shall consist of No. 8 washed stone. The target application rate for the proposed single chip seal is 23 pounds per square yard. The contractor shall notify the Public Works Director or designee of the roads under application so appropriate entities can be notified. For areas that become inaccessible to emergency vehicles at any particular time, the contractor shall immediately notify the Public Works Director of these locations. The work shall consist of applying Chip Seal to various roads listed. Manholes, water boxes, gas valves and monument boxes shall be covered during the application process. Aggregates shall consist of #8 washed limestone gravel.
