Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Berrien Center, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; for site work for a detention facility; for paving for a detention facility; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The work for which bids are being requested consists of the following: Contract A - Septic System Construction of an onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system including sewer service, septic tanks, dosing station and absorption field. This contract also includes the redirection of existing storm sewers around the field, removal of a portion of the parking lot, patching and overlaying the existing parking lot, SESC measures and restoration of the lawn areas disturbed as part of the site work and various appurtenances and alternatives. Contract B - MEP, Fire protection tank/pump and Well construction of the following: o Boiler and domestic hot water system replacements o AHU/RTU/unit ventilator upgrades and replacements o Mechanical piping distribution system o Electrical distribution and grounding systems o Exterior and parking lot lighting o Interior lighting controls o Design assist of building security system o Design build to replace all fire protection sprinkler heads o Coordination of work as identified in contract a above o Type iib potable well, pump controller, alarms o Design build for a 30,000 gallon underground fire protection tank, pump and alarm system that is equal to the items specified on the plan. o Various alternatives
