Site work and paving for a civil project in Hurley, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Department of Public Works is seeking to improve drainage features on a 0.4 mile stretch of Zandhoek Road in the Town of Hurley. The goal, to convert existing ditch/swales into a closed drainage system, which will allow the County to widen road shoulders. NYSDOT standards for a road of this type would require 4-ft minimum shoulder width. Design costs are currently being paid for out of Capital Project No. 520. As of April 18, 2025 ,This project is included in the city's 2025 2030 -Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
