Superpave Materials Shrewsbury Borough This project shall consist of two (2) contracts. Contract #1 is for the installation of the following: 22,700 SY+- of paving overlay, 700 SY+- base repair, 22,700 SY+- paving fabric, 2 handicap ramps, and related street construction. Contract #2 is to furnish and deliver to the Borough 2,700 tons+- 9.5mm SuperPave Wearing Course. Contractors may bid on either or both contracts. The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 as amended. Wage rates are included in the contract documents. For Contract #1, all bidders shall be required to furnish a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Upon the acceptance of the proposal by the Borough, the successful bidder(s) shall provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount to the Borough. Each bidder shall be prepared to submit evidence of qualifications to perform the work as well as references from previous contracts. For Contract #2, all bidders shall be required to furnish a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Upon the acceptance of the proposal by the Borough, the successful bidder(s) shall provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the contract amount to the Borough. The Borough reserves the right, which is agreed and understood by all bidders, to accept or reject any or all bids and waive irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn by the bidder for sixty (60) days after closing time for receipt of bids.
