The bid deposit for hard copies shall be refunded to each Bidder only if the plans and specifications are returned in good condition, with no handwritten notations thereon within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bid of such person or corporation. Plan holders who have paid for hard copies of the bid documents will need to make determination if hard copies of the addenda required for their use and coordinate directly with the printer for hard copies to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated by the instructions to bidders and as required by the specifications. Bids must be sealed in opaque envelope clearly marked with name and address of the bidder, contract name and number, opening date for bids , and addressed to: smithtown central school district. The smithtown central school district is not responsible for bids opened prior to the bid opening if contract number and opening date do not appear on the envelope.
