Replace four (4) overhead bay doors Palm Beach County reserves the right to waive any bid irregularities, informalities, or technical deficiencies and to reject any and all quotes/bids. Question Deadline 05/22/2025 Questions must be e-mailed to FDO-CID-Bids@pbc.gov The work covered by this Request for Quote consists of the furnishing of all labor, equipment, devices, tools, materials, transportation, professional services, supervision, drawings, permitting, and all miscellaneous requirements to perform all operations necessary to accomplish the work set forth below and shall be considered part of the Scope of Work. b. Please reference the Annual Contract - Overhead Door for additional requirements. c. Work to be completed during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. d. Contractor shall contact the Project Manager within seventy-two (72) hours of notice to proceed to establish scheduling, etc. required for project implementation. e. Work to be completed within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Permit application, if required, is to be submitted by Contractor within five (5) days of "Notice to Proceed" and due diligence exercised to address a l Building Department comments. f. Liquidated damages will accrue in the amount of $120 per day. g. The Contractor will provide a Certificate of Occupancy or Certificate of Completion, as appropriate, obtained from the proper Building official, prior to processing of final payment. h. Contractor is responsible for obtaining all measurements during the site inspection 2. SCOPE OF WORK To replace four (4) overhead bay doors per the project requirements provided below and Exhibits "1" - "6": a. Furnish and install four (4) new overhead bay doors. Doors shall be Stormtite 625 Series Insulated Service Door (or PBC approved equal), as referenced in Exhibit "1". b. Reference Exhibits "1" - "6" for replacement requirements. c. Execute work in a manner to protect adjacent equipment and other existing items against damage. Page 1 of 4 d. Disconnect electrical power, entrapment protection, push-button and remote control connections. e. Properly remove four (4) overhead doors; assembly to include panels, track, rollers, motor, torsion shaft assembly, trolley and push-button controls. All removed components shall be properly disposed of away from the property each day. f. Install new overhead door assembly to include new track, rollers, operating motor, and trolley assembly, torsion shaft assembly with new spring, hinges, and fixtures. Reference Exhibit "2". g. Connect power supply, all push button controls to the corresponding door. Install and connect new remote control units and install entrapment protection assemblies. h. Coordinate installation of electrical service. Complete power and control wiring from disconnect to unit components. i. The master (emergency) lift button on the wall must be connected to all doors for emergency engine response as it is now. This must be tested after each new door is installed. 1.
