Site work for a water / sewer project in Great Falls, Montana. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Plans cxall to construct and implementation of Phases 3 and 4 of the Downtown Storm Drainage Improvements projects, OF 1779.2. Storm drainage improvements were previously proposed through two previous storm drainage studies of the local drainage basin referred to as the 3rd Ave South drainage basin. Great West Engineering performed the studies in 2020 and 2022. The studies present the investigation and analysis of the existing storm drainage facilities in the drainage basin and provide several alternatives for improvements throughout the basin. The City has split up the necessary improvements in the western portion of the basin include approximately 3 blocks of upsized storm main along 2nd Street South and 2 blocks of new storm main connecting to the Missouri River along with an upsized outfall, as outlined in Area 2.1. As of October 30, 2025, the project is currently in design. The construction document completion timeline has not been released. A tentative bid schedule for contractors has not been disclosed. Construction is slated to begin for phase 3 Summer of 2026 and Phase 4 Summer of 2027.
