Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Midlothian, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Scope of Work: Approximately 1,400 linear feet along Village Square Parkway (Route 3867) and generally involve a new entrance to Cosby High School off of Village Square Parkway and right and left turn lanes into theproposed entrance. Sidewalk will be provided along the proposed entrance. No new pedestrian facilities are proposed on Village Square Parkway, but any impacted existing facilities will be restored. A retaining wall is required between the new entrance and the existing ball fields adjacent to the school's tennis courts. The work will include clearing, grading, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt paving and buildup, drainage structures, erosion & sediment control, signage, pavement markings, adjustment of utilities, landscaping, installation of solar-powered flashing school signs, retaining wall and other items necessary for the completion of the work. Contractors must be on VDOT's current Pre-qualified list at the time/ date set for the opening of bids in order to be eligible for this contract.
