Shell Dredging and Shell Planting for Virginia's portion of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals from qualified sources to dredge, grade, and wash approximately 25,000 to 70,000 cubic yards of fossil oyster shells from the James River or Elizabeth River, and then transport and deploy the same oyster shells on sites in the James River, York River, Rappahannock River, Piankatank River, and Pocomoke Sound. Work Location: James River, City of Newport News, Elizabeth River, Portsmouth, Rappahannock River, Lancaster and Middlesex Counties, York River, York and Gloucester Counties, Piankatank River, Gloucester and Mathews County, and Pocomoke Sound, Accomack County.
