Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Henderson County Cooperative Extension Service or bidder's bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Kentucky in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Should any contractor whose bid is accepted default in furnishing 100% Performance and Payment Bond and contract required, then certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner. The contracts, for the respective work of the Project, shall be awarded, if at all, on the basis of the lowest and best evaluated bid prices. The Henderson County Cooperative Extension District reserves the right to reject any/or all bids or waive any formalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for a period not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract. After the examination of bids has been made and it is determined by the owner to move forward with the project, the successful bidder will be determined and approved.
