Demolition, site work and addition to an educational facility in Northbrook, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a 10,000-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Northbrook School District 28 will receive sealed bids from qualified General Contractors for the: Gymnasium Addition at Meadowbrook Elementary School A Bid Security of 10% of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates for all work per Illinois Law. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or accept the Bid that, in its opinion, will serve the best interest of the School District. Any such decision shall be considered final.The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project. All questions shall be directed to Eric Kretschmer, DLA Architects (847) 742-4063 PROJECT CONSISTS OF APPROX. 10,000 SF GYMNASIUM ADDITION AT THE NORTH OF THE EXISTING SCHOOL. ALSO INCLUDED IS INSTALLING AN UNDERGROUND STORMWATER DETENTION SYSTYEM, CONNECTING TO EXISTING UTILITIES, SITEWORK, A CONNECTION BETWEEN THE EXISTING BUILDING AND ADDITION. THE STRUCTURAL SYSTEM WILL BE CMU BEARING WALLS AND THE GYMNASIUM ADDITION WILL SERVE AS A STORM SHELTER. ADDENDUMS WILL ONLY BE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE SO IT WILL BE UP TO EVERYONE TO CHECK FOR UPDATES.
