Custom Serving Line for LASA Kitchen June 26, 2025 Tentative AISD Board meeting for review/approval Question Deadline 04/29/2025 at 3:00 PM CT Questions and answers posted in Bonfire platform The following describes the service and performance requirements that selected vendor(s) will be required to perform. Failure to address or to fully describe capabilities to accomplish all elements of this section will result in a loss of evaluation points. This project involves the fabrication and installation of two Mod-U-Serve serving counters and one cashier counter, all constructed from 304 stainless steel with engineered stone countertops and integrated equipment. The serving counters will include hot and cold food wells, milk crate storage, Elite IV breath guards, and recessed electrical components with remote control panels. Each unit is designed for efficiency, accessibility, and compliance with NSF and UL standards. The cashier counter will include a cooled food well, electrical/data access for POS systems, and locking cash drawers. Mod-U-Serve will provide complete factory installation, including delivery, setup, and coordination, with final electrical and plumbing connections to be handled by others. Austin ISD- L.A.S.A. - SERVING COUNTER SPECFICATIONS o Counter body and framing to be constructed of 304 Stainless steel with 18-gauge stainless steel, undershelves located where applicable. o Countertop to be constructed of 3cm engineered stone bull nose finish, countertop extended to act as trayslide, to be located at 34" A.F.F. o Counter front to consist of tile front panels, by Mod-U-Serve o 304 Stainless steel flat front kickplates. o 304 Stainless steel legs with adjustable bullet feet. o All electrical to be wired to UL compliant riser and load center provided by Mod-UServe. All receptacles mounted in counter to be recessed and labeled. Custom controls panels are remotely located for all equipment with accompanying labels. o Elite IV breath guards to be constructed of 18-gauge 304 stainless steel, 14- gauge 1" diameter posts extended through countertop and secured to framing within counter. Heat and light to be provided over heated equipment and light only over cold equipment. Front and top glass to be 3/8" tempered glass with 1/4" tempered glass end panels. NSF compliant to latest standards. Provide QTY Two (2) Mod-U-Serve Serving Counters. Size and shape as detailed on plans (1 as shown, 1 opposite hand). Unit to be equipped with the following features: o Includes four (4) Alto Shaam waterless electric hot food wells model 400- HWI/D6 with a 2' pass thru space to prior to hot wells as shown. Item 400- HWI/D6 provided by ModU-Serve, each with independent controls. Hot food wells located within a 1" recess in countertop to accommodate 18" X 26" sheet pans. Unit to have single tier sized to accommodate two (2) 18" X 26" sheet pans mechanically heated with LED lighting. o Includes two (2) Alto Shaam waterless electric hot food wells model 200-HWI/ D6 with a pass thru space as shown. Item 200-HWI/D6 provided by Mod-U-Serve, each with independent controls. Hot food wells located within a 1" recess in countertop to accommodate 18" X 26" sheet pans. o Incudes Three (3) Cold food wells with 18 gauge 2" divider bar and rocker switch. Unit to have single tier sized to accommodate two (2) 18" X 26" sheet pans mechanically cooled with LED lighting. 1" condensate drain to be pre-plumbed for ease of final connection by plumbing contractor. Refrigeration to be remotely installed within counter on slide out skid for ease of accessibility/maintenance. o Counter Includes Mod-U-Serve MCT-MC2 Milk Crate two (2) recessed in counter body to accommodate mechanically cooled 13"x13"x13" milk crates per plan with insulated 304 stainless steel removable covering for Milk Unit. o QTY one (1) Cashier Counter, Modular construction fabricated with 304 grade stainless steel and 18-gauge undershelves located where applicable. Includes flat top landing space with grommeted cutout access to DR 5-15R convenience outlet. Counter to include Mod-U-Serve MCT-CF1 mechanically cooled 12"x20" food well. Each counter Includes cashier stand with liner, electrical and data provisions for owner provided POS stations. To include locking cash drawers with removable cash tills, and removable CPU shelves. o FACTORY INSTALLATION: Mod-U-Serve provide installation and coordination services. Factory Installation and coordination services to include delivery, setting in place & onsite assembly, leveling, and start up. This installation includes all necessary site visits prior to and during fabrication, including site visits for field measurements.
