The City of Neoga is now accepting bids on maintenance services at the Neoga Memorial Cemetery. The duties are as follows: 1. mow the grass as needed so that the cemetery looks good prior to all weekends and traditional hol-idays 2. to mow the entire cemetery within 48 hours after commence-ment of the mowing 3. To allow grass to remain grow-ing up to all monuments, trees, bushes, and fences. You may not dig trenches or use grass killer around monuments, trees, bushes. fences or elsewhere without permis sion from the City 4. hand trim the grass around all monuments, trees, bushes, fences and elsewhere as needed every mowing 5. blow cut grass off of all monu ments every mowing 6. remove all clumped grass from entire cemetery after every mowing 7. pick up all rubbish and trash prior to mowing and deposit in bar rel 8. pick up sticks, branches and other yard waste each mowing and burn 9 remove small trees, shrubs and plants that are damaged, diseased or in violation of cemetery rules 10. fill holes and depressions with 2. fill dirt in entire cemetery as needed 3. 11. apply grass seed as needed in entire cemetery 12. furnish all equipment and per-sonnel required to perform the above services 13. report any problems immedi-ately to the Commissioner of Public Property 14. Twice a year (March & No-vember) you will be required to clean off all grave sites and dispose of all old decorations. The term of the contract will be from May 1st April 30th.
