**As of May 29, 2025, the project was awarded to HV Cavers, but the awarded amount is not available.** The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or part of any proposal in the best interest of the County Bowie County (Precinct 2) is soliciting proposals for Chipseal on County Road 2204. The proposed work generally consists of a pavement surface treatment that combines one or more layer(s) of asphalt with one or more layer(s) of fine aggregate. All work shall include materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to complete the work. The basis of selection will be the lowest responsive bidder meeting all requirements of the bid package. The lowest responsive bidder will be required to provide completed project forms, bonds, evidence of insurance and execute a contract with Bowie County for all work. Additional Requirements The following is a brief partial list of additional requirements for this project: 1. Work is required on County Road 2204 to chipseal, including labor and materials. 2. Normal workdays will be Monday through Friday. Work on weekends shall be scheduled in advance with the County. 3. The work location for County Road 2204 is off of farm market road 2253. A. County Road 2204 dimensions are approximately 2,775 ft. long by 17 ft. wide and 390 ft. long by 14 ft. wide. 4. The proposed procedure for the chipseal will be as follows: A. Option 1 Apply seal coat using AC-10 2 TR oil, or comparable, to be covered with county supplied pea gravel. B. Option 2 Apply seal coat using AC-10 2 TR oil, or comparable, to be covered with contractor supplied pea gravel. 5. The selected bidder will be required to execute a standard contractual agreement with the County and provide bonds, certificates of insurance and forms as required by the contract. 6. Quantities are listed in the bid proposal. 7. All work, workmanship and materials will be in accordance with TxDOT Standards for Construction and Maintenance of Highways, Streets and Bridges 2014 Edition.
