Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a library in Evansville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the addition of a library; for the demolition of a library; for the renovation of a library; and for site work for a library.
The project consists of the interior renovation of the existing library, a small building addition, and exterior site and landscape upgrades. Bids shall be submitted on the standard Bid Form (Indiana Form No. 96 Revised 2013), signed, sealed, with the Non Collusion Affidavit properly signed and notarized, and with the Corporate Seal affixed. A bid security shall be submitted with each bid, in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount. Bid security shall be a certified check or bid bond and shall be the bidder's guarantee that said bidder will, if the contract is awarded to said bidder, execute within then (10) days of acceptance of their bid, a Contract for the work bid upon. The successful bidders will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of their contract amount prior to execution of contracts. Project Description: Project consists of the interior renovation of the existing library, a small building addition, and exterior site and landscape upgrades. Full extent of the work is indicated in the Contract Documents. All bid bonds shall be made payable to EVPL and be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Indiana. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening of bids. An out-of-state contractor will have Indiana Gross Income Tax withheld by the EVPL, unless they can show proof that they are registered with the Indiana Secretary of State to conduct business in the state of Indiana. Bidders are required to pay all printing, shipping, handling, and online fees. The successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the work within the contract time. It is the intention of EVPL that contractor shall begin pre-construction (i.e., submittal and procurement) processes immediately upon award, but that construction on the site will begin on August 4, 2025. It is the policy of the Library to be in full compliance with all federal and state non-discrimination and equal opportunity laws, orders and regulations relating to race, sex, religion, disability, age, national origin, or status as disabled veterans. All persons or entities submitting bids must also be in full compliance with these laws, orders, and regulations. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Bonds shall be in full force and effect for a period of at least twelve (12) months after the date of final completion and acceptance of the longest guarantee provided under the contractor's contract. Should the contractor's bonding company default, the contractor will be responsible for securing a new bond within fourteen (14) calendar days. Bid Descriptions: EVPL will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued in the Bid Documents. Bids shall be delivered in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of Bidder, and clearly marked: "EVPL Oaklyn Renovation & Addition", Project No. 24084. Bids will be received for General Contract work (all trades). Doc note: Once registered, bidders will be able to review documents in person and order printed copies of plans and specifications. Printed documents can be picked up from MACO - Evansville Blue or they can be shipped directly. Viewing Procurement and Contracting Documents in person will be available for examination after April 24, 2025, at EVPL Central, 200 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Evansville, IN 47713. EVPL reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
