The project consists of demolition and disposal of the existing Water Meter Station and construction of a new Water Meter Station, relocated approximately 60-feet (60') to accommodate a proposed public drive to a single-family residential section designed by others. The existing 8-inch electromagnetic flow meter, battery pack, electrical wiring and instrumentation signal wiring, and above-ground display box will be demolished. The contractor will be responsible for the installation of the factory-assembled below-ground vault and ultrasonic flow meter assembly, including site preparation, excavation, vault base and backfill, piping connections and appurtenances, electrical configuration, flowmeter calibration, disinfection, testing, and all other details shown in the construction drawings for a fully operational Water Meter Station. The contractor is also responsible for installation of 38 LF of 8-inch (8") and 88 LF of 12-inch (12") piping and connections to the existing water systems. The project is located in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston, Texas northwest of the intersection between Spring Cypress Road and Klein Church Road, Harris County Key Map 331-A.
