The location is adjacent to the Parks highway off S. Hallea Lane heading toward Lake Lucille Best Western. The existing road/trail was constructed in a 20 foot right of way. Permission to construct in an additional 30 feet of the Railroad's right of way has been granted. That area has been flagged. An owner hired contractor will be clearing the area prior to construction. Unclassified/grubbing will be hauled and placed adjacent to the wetlands further down Lake Lucille Drive on two properties owned by the City of Wasilla. See dump site map. The successful bidder is required to submit a completed Railroad Entry Permit upon request from the City (see attached application). Owner will pay filing fees. Staging of equipment will be in the Railroad right of way portion that is already cleared. Equipment must remain 50 feet from the tracks at all times. Work will be performed between 7am-9pm Monday through Saturday. Utilities are present and locates must be called in to 811. No official SWPPP will be needed but best management practices are required. Project disturbs less than an acre and no waters are designed to leave the project with the two detention basins. The contract award will be presented to Council at the June 9th regular meeting. Contractor will provide a minimum of a one-week notice prior to starting work. Contract completion date will be August 10, 2025. The estimated contract amount is less than $150,000. Davis bacon wages will apply. Improvements to W Foggy Drive.
