Renovation of a municipal facility in Goshen, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Lowest Bidder: L.I. Excavating LLC- $112,932.95 Boyer Tile Replacement Project The project is located in Section 32 and 33 of Middlebury Township. The project scope involves replacing approximately 2,000 L.F. of existing 15" tile from the outlet located north of County Road 28 and west of County Road 35 extending east to a new structure to be located approximately 500 feet east of County Road 35. The proposed 18" tile will follow the existing route. The work will be performed in an area less than 150 foot wide along the proposed route of tile. The project is scheduled to be completed by August 29, 2025. The awarded contractor will sign an agreement to a $100.00 per day charge for liquidated damages beyond the specified completion date. The estimated cost of the project is less than $180,000.00. Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on proposal forms furnished by the County in accordance with Revised Indiana Form 96 and shall be accompanied by the Contractor's Financial Statement form taken from Form 96A. Proposals shall include a copy of the Contractor's Insurance Certificate with coverage in accordance with item 5.3 of the General Conditions and a list of previous projects of this nature with references shall be included with the bid. . Proposals shall be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bank Draft payable to the Elkhart County Drainage Board, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and a surety company in an amount equal to 5% of the Bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if the Bid is accepted, will execute and file the proposed Contract and Bonds within ten days after award of the Contract. The Certified Check or Bank Draft will be returned to the bidders immediately after the signing of the Contract by the Drainage Board. A Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total Contract price will be required of the successful bidder. An irrevocable Letter of Credit will be acceptable in lieu of a Performance Bond. This Letter of Credit shall be 100 percent of Contract price and shall be in effect until 1 year after the completion of the entire Contract. The Elkhart County Drainage Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bidding, and to award a contract in the best interests of the Board, Elkhart County, and the project No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date set for the opening thereof.
