Exterior enhancements will focus on creating an ADA-compliant sidewalk to ensure accessibility to/from the building. The project involves the interior renovation of and exterior improvements to McConnell Hall, a Campus Living Community on the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus. The interior renovation will include upgrades to lighting, flooring, and the vanities within the bedrooms, as well as updates to the communal bathroom and shower areas to enhance privacy. The project also considers the potential installation of an elevator to boost accessibility within the building. Additionally, the design shall assess the building s electrical, plumbing, and domestic hot water systems for a potential update to address deferred maintenance issues. An electrical load study will be conducted to identify necessary infrastructure improvements. The University is seeking a design team with experience in architecture and engineering for similar projects related to Campus Living Communities (residence halls) on a university campus. Firms submitting a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must demonstrate relevant experience for projects of this nature. Any individual(s) or firm(s) proposing to perform architecture and/or engineering services must be appropriately licensed / registered in the State of Arizona at the time of submission of the Qualifications.
