The Consultant will provide the Department's Structures Design Office, and supporting offices within the Department, with expertise in the design and review of Category 2 bridges as defined in the FDOT Design Manual (FDM). This includes but is not limited to rail bridges, segmental concrete bridges, steel box or steel I-girder superstructures, unique pedestrian bridges, bridge substructures designed for ship impact and scour, post-tensioned substructures, geotechnical foundation evaluations including dynamic test data and wave equation, and bridges with unique geotechnical conditions.
