Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hinton, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center; and swimming pool.
The Municipality is seeking a qualified firm to undertake painting the walls of the Aquatic Centre (pool) at the Dr. Duncan Murray Rec Centre in Hinton, AB, to be schedule before, during, or after the annual shutdown tentatively slated for the month of September 2025. The walls are comprised of both cider blocks, as well as mounted sound baffles, and all must be painted with materials that are rated for the climate in the environment (i.e. a salt chlorine pool that is humid, warm, and damp/wet). The work includes removing old paint, surface preparation, and applying a new finish that aligns with the facility's color scheme and modern design trends. The walls will be coated with durable, epoxy-like paint that requires minimal maintenance, ideal for the pool's consistently damp and warm conditions. Project has been cancelled.
