This appliesto all prime and subcontractors with the following licenses: GeneralContractors(A and B), Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and C46). All prime and/or subcontractors must review the bid specifications to determine whether or not prequalification is required. Prebid meeting info : A Non-Mandatory Job Walk/Pre-Bid Meeting for the purpose of acquainting prospective bidders with the requirements of the Department of Industrial Relations(DIR) Public Works ContractorRegistration (PWCR) System, Contractor/Subcontractor Prequalification, and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Certifications mandated by the State of California will be held. State law and regulations adopted by the Office of Public School Construction required that State-funded programs have participation goals of three (3) percent for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) as defined in Public Contract Code 10115.1. To be considered, a firm or person(s) is required to meet the goal or to make a good faith effort to meet the DVBE participation goals as specified in the regulations. This project is a prevailing wage project. Owner has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wagesin the locality in which this work isto be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute this contract. These rates are on file at Owner's office, and a copy may be obtained upon request, or online. A copy of these rates shall be posted at the job site. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded (CONTRACTOR), and upon any subcontractor, to pay not lessthan the specified ratesto all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract. This project issubject to the requirements of Subchapter 4.5 of Chapter 8 of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. Contractor and all subcontractors must furnish certified payroll records to the California Department of Industrial Relations(DIR) Public Works Contractor Registration (PWCR) System. A limited exemption from prevailing wage does not apply. Electronic certified payroll reports must be submitted weekly to and will be monitored by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Construction contractors required to report payroll electronically can obtain assistance to use the service (eCPR) by accessing the website. The following notice is given as required by Labor Code Section 1771.5(b)(1): CONTRACTOR and any subcontractors are required to review and comply with the provisions of the California Labor Code, Part 7, Chapter 1, beginning with Section 1720, as more fully discussed in the Contract Documents. These sections contain specific requirements concerning, for example, determination and payment of prevailing wages, retention, inspection, and auditing payroll records, use of apprentices, payment of overtime compensation, securing workers' compensation insurance, and various criminal penalties or fines which may be imposed for violations of the requirements of the chapter. Submission of a bid constitutes CONTRACTORS' representation that CONTRACTOR has thoroughly reviewed these requirements. In order to perform the work required by this contract, contractor must possess the following type of license/certification issued by the State of California: C7 and/or C10. The Board of Trustees of the Kern High School District reserves the right to reject all bids and/or waive any irregularities in a bid.
