Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility; parking garage; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
This project scope involves the resurfacing of a ground-level parkade and the replacement of deteriorating bricks on the building envelope at Manoir St. Joachim, a Seniors self-contained high-rise apartment with 149 units, constructed in 1981. The original concrete floor in the parkade is damaged in multiple areas, with large holes extending down to the rebar. Loose and broken pieces of concrete pose a safety hazard. In order to complete the resurfacing, the wooden lockers and wooden shop within the parkade will need to be removed and reinstalled. Additionally, the two bottom rows of bricks on the exterior of the building are deteriorating and require replacement.
