The project is expected to be awarded on July 17, 2025.** Question Submission Deadline:May 15, 2025, 5:00pm Summary This is an invitation to submit a bid to Glynn County Board of Commissioners for the Coast Guard Park Parking and Drainage Improvements, as indicated herein (Identified as SCOPE A in the construction plans). The work to be performed under this contract consists of the construction of an new parking lot to include storm drainage and connecting sidewalk and bike path located at 4104 First Street Saint Simons Island. The work will include but is not limited to, curb and gutter, all Mass Grading, clearing/ demolition and grubbing for the entire project site, storm drainage structures and piping, utility installation to include water and sanitary sewer, dewatering, sidewalk construction, base installation and asphalt paving, Erosion & Sediment Control measures, signing and striping and the installation of the dirt building pad on grade for the Coast Guard restrooms to be built by others. The County intends to release two Invitation for Bids, one for Mass Grading, Site Utilities and Parking Lot refereed to as Scope A; and one for the Building and Park refereed to as Scope B. This specific IFB will address Scope A. Background The Coast Guard Park parking and drainage project will be completed to provide improved and organized parking to the Coast Guard Park to provide a better experience to the citizens and visitors of Glynn County and St. Simons Island. This project will be built in conjunction with the Coast Guard Park Restrooms and life guard tower (SCOPE B to be constructed by others). The Site work Drainage and parking Lot scope of work will be identified as SCOPE A in the construction Plans. The selected bidder for this project will be bidding on all work identified within SCOPE A to include all clearing, grubbing and demolition and mass grading of the entire project site, SCOPE A and SCOPE B, to include the installation and compaction testing of the dirt building pad for the proposed restroom and life guard tower building proposed in SCOPE B. CONTRACT TIME Contract time shall consist of Two Hundred Fifty (250) consecutive calendar days for the completion of work, to be computed from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages may be assessed at THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300)per day.
