Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Renton, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; warehouse / distribution facility; and warehouse / distribution facility.
Equipment is currently stored in a number of areas at the airport, causing inefficiency in work production. With aviation-use ramp space at a premium, it is desirable for the airport to relocate the major maintenance shop to a place that is more suited to equipment handling and to free up the 790 parcel for use by an aviation-related operator. This project is intended to develop a suitable site for the new major maintenance shop that is large enough to house the existing 5 FTEs, breakroom, workshop, and equipment storage. As of April 30, 2025 ,This project is included in the city's 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
