Perform demolition and abatement of interior and exterior finishes as described in the provided hazardous materials report and the project documents. Provide new interior and exterior finishes including fiber cement board, plywood sheathing and paint as described in the project documents. A payment bond and performance bond will be required prior to the execution of the contract. The payment bond and performance bond shall be in the form and amount set forth in the Contract Documents. Prime trade contractor bidders are asked to register with A&I Reprographics, Inc. (no later than three (3) days before bid opening). Bid Category #1: Abatement C-22 Perform demolition and abatement of interior and exterior finishes as described in the provided hazardous materialsreport and the project documents. Bid Category #9: Finishes C-9, C-33, C-35 Provide new interior and exterior finishes including fiber cement board, plywood sheathing and paint as described in the project documents. DVBE (3%) A. Work of this Contract comprises of general construction including Modernization at Los Banos High School, located at 1966 South 11th Street, Los Banos, CA 93635 for the Los Banos Unified School District, Owner. B. Construct the work under a single lump sum contract as described in "Advertisement for Bids" (Document 00 11 13) and in accordance with Construction Manager's scope of work summary and special conditions schedule. 1. "Special Condition Schedule for all Category Scope of Work" (Section 01 11 15) is a matrix which contains the special conditions of each Category Contract. Columns containing an "X" indicate that the work under the "Description" is to be a part of the Category Contract noted at the top of the list. Columns containing a blank space indicate that the work under the "Description" is not part of Category Contractor noted at the top of the list. 2. The work included in each specification section includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of ALL labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation, applicable taxes and services necessary for, and incidental to, performing ALL operations in connection with the specification section complete as shown on the drawings and/or specified therein. 3. All of the work in each specification section MUST be included in the Category Scope of Work Summary for which it has been assigned. Contractor must examine all specification sections and drawings for related work that may be specified or shown on the drawings and required to be included under their specific Category or referenced specification section. 4. In the unlikely event that the same work called out in this Contractor's category is also called out in the category of another contractor or contractors, BOTH this Contractor and the other contractor/s will be expected to have included all work in their bids. It is not the Owner's intention for double coverage to happen, however, if it does, the Owner will seek a credit quotation from all affected contractors and the contractor offering the smallest credit or least favorable terms to the District shall be the contractor directed to perform the described work. The other affected contractor/s shall have their contract scope/s and price/s reduced per the Contract Documents. Q/A- Such request for interpretation or correction shall be received by the Architect not less than 14 days prior to the date established for the receipt of bid.
