The work under this Contract will include private lead service line replacements. These properties are at locations where the City of West Allis has previously replaced the portion of the water service located under the street. Work may include, but is not limited to, the procurement of plumbing permits, scheduling installations and site visits with the property owner, project coordination with multiple departments and homeowners, traffic control, erosion control, pavement saw cutting, excavation, installation of a new copper or HDPE service line utilizing directional drilling (City approval is required for open cut installation), all restoration work, along with any other incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the Plans and included in these Special Provisions. The City reserves the right to increase or reduce the number of installations based on the available funding remaining.
