Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Reston, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
As of October 16, 2025, this project was cancelled due to lack of funding. Install approximately 1,802 linear feet of 3/4 round pressure treated #2 or better 6"-7" pine post and 5/4" X 6" X 16' rough sawn oak rails 3 rails are required - Oak rails shall be rough sawn, straight, and free of splits, cracks, holes and other imperfections Contractor shall supply all materials and labor needed (commonly referred to Paddock Fencing) Fencing shall be installed as perimeter fencing on/close to Park boundary Post shall be installed and dry set with existing removed material and tamped Connecting hardware shall consist of (2) 5" X 1/2 " galvanized lag bolts with washer per rail board connecting point All hardware shall be installed by pre-drilling with pilot holes to avoid splitting the rail boards Bolts and washers shall be counter sunk 3/8" into the face of the rail boards See aerial photo for details Fencing shall contour to the existing vegetation and will not necessarily run in a straight line On-site direction will be given to ensure the fencing is installed in the desired location Work shall be completed by July 15th, 2025 Buyer: Shameeka Glenn Shameeka.Glenn@fairfaxcounty.gov 703-324-2861 Work Location:1400 Lake Fairfax Drive, Reston, VA 20190
