The Ministry of Forests (FOR) prepared a deactivation plan covering 7km of wilderness condition Forest Service Road (FSR) to be deactivated. Major works in this project include removal of a 36.6m bridge, cross ditching, water bar installation, and stream culvert removals. The deactivated road will be placed into a self-maintaining state to protect tributaries of the Salmon River. Waste materials and garbage are to be disposed of off-site by the Contractor. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca. OTHER BIDDER: Yuscho Enterprises Ltd $859,176.97 Award is subject to final approval.
