**As of August 1, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Miami-Dade County is soliciting interested contractors to register to participate and perform in Miscellaneous Construction Contract (MCC) Bids under the MCC 7040 & 7360 Plan projects. Contractual Opportunities are continuously available for all businesses located in MiamiDade who are interested in doing business with the County. The types of contracts available under the MCC Program are construction projects, facility repairs, neighborhood improvements, emergency repairs and maintenance work with a maximum value of $5.0M; ORD 09-101. All capital departments are participating. Additional opportunities are available through Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which enables low-income families to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Funds are used to improve the energy performance of dwellings by families in need, using the most advanced technologies and testing procedures available in the housing industry. Measures to make homes more energy efficient include: replacement or installation of key components, installation of energy recovery ventilation systems including bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans and installation of whole mechanical exhaust systems to provide better indoor air quality, install attic insulation, install window solar films, repair or replace inefficient cooling units, repair or replace water heaters and address air infiltration with weather stripping, caulking thresholds, minor wall repairs, ceiling and floors, windows and doors. License Requirements - At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and Contract Documents, the Bidder and all its subcontractor must hold a valid, current, and active State and/or Miami-Dade County contractor's license consistent with the requirements of the Scope of Work. ESTIMATED COST: $800,679.86 SBE- Goods & Services: 1.28%. Also include any restrictions/ requirements (e.g. staging; required (i.e. County contractor) building control contractors including access/security, test/balance, fire alarm/sprinkler trade subcontractors or Private Provider Inspector/subconsultant (provide list). Note: when describing required bldg control trade subs under County contract, include paragraph stating Dedicated Allowance $ Amount as applicable, Scope, full sub details [sub name, contact info, etc.] and stating that Contractor must coordinate that Work.) SCOPE SUMMARY: Scope shall include but not limited to the renovation and reconfiguration of the Histology Lab located in the Medical Examiner's Facility. Scope is to include making operational the existing overhead stainless-steel fume hood and installation of a make-up air unit. Scope also includes related electrical, plumbing and mechanical work. The Contractor shall be responsible for completing the "Notice of Demolition or Asbestos Renovation" form. Asbestos was detected in the white 12"x12" floor tile/mastic samples. The Asbestos Report is included in the Bid Documents. All asbestos abatement, must be performed by a certified asbestos SBE-Con. The project dry-run submittal has been approved by Miami-Dade County Building Department. At the close of the project, the contractor shall submit all close-out documentation and warranty, etc. Bid Documents consist of the RPQ information from CIIS, Attachment 5A (Bid Form), forms, Standard Construction General Contract Conditions, PIOD Special Provisions, project worksheet, as well as approved plans/technical specifications. All bidders shall become thoroughly familiar with all terms of this RPQ prior to the Pre-Bid meeting. Failure to do so will in no way relieve the Awarded Bidder from completing the required work for the bid price. Required Experience/Qualifications: The lowest, responsive bidder is required, after Bid Opening and within three (3) business days of County's written request, to provide the Bidder's references for projects that are representative of the general scope of work which is currently being advertised, of equal or greater value, and that demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience and/or completed a minimum of three (3) similar projects. In accordance with Resolution R-1122-21, the experience of the Bidder's key personnel or Bidder's proposed subcontractor will be considered in assessing whether the Bidder complies with this solicitation's minimum experience or completed project requirement.
