Description

Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a museum in Kleinburg, Ontario. Design plans call for the addition of a 76,000-square-foot, one-story above grade museum; for the demolition of a museum; and for the renovation of a 62,000-square-foot, one-story above grade museum.

Addition & renovations. TIMELINE: Design is ongoing and will continue through to October 2026. An RFP for a project manager has been issued by the owner, which is anticipated to be awarded late July 2026. A request for qualifications for construction management services has also been issued & closed, award anticipated June 2026. Updates on contract awards will be made upon owner announcement. The Government Ontario has announced up to $50 million in funding over 3 years contingent on matching support from the federal government and private donors, following a $25 million investment from the federal government through the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings in March. The estimated construction value is $120 million.
