In 1976, the Borough of Paramus acquired the former Saddle River Golf and Country Club that was built in 1927. The course is on 118 acres and it has small, well-protected greens. The current course measures just over 6,309 yards from the blue tees and 4,539 yards from the reds with a par of 71. The course averages 55,000 rounds a year and is open every day except Christmas day weather permitting. The Course currently is irrigated by a mostly single row PVC system that is charged by a Flo-Tronics pump station. The existing system is 25 years old and requires constant maintenance. The Borough's need of an upgraded and efficient system. A recently changed water allocation permit from State of New Jersey increased our permitted allotment to 30 million gallons per year from 15 million gallons. The Scope of Work does require the following design: New Pump Station, Wet-well, Irrigation System; Construction Documents; Bidding Assistance; Construction Monitoring/Inspection; Punch List and Closeout to include review of "As-Builts". The existing irrigation water is supplied by a well that re-charges the current pond at 200 gpm. The current pumps system draws water from a floating intake. The Borough is requiring a new wet well, as well as, new WaterTronics or equivalent pump station with a composite enclosure and pump capabilities of producing up to 1,250 gpm, (new permitted amount). Currently two 50-horsepower pumps and a 15-horsepower jockey maintenance pump are utilized providing 800 gpm. The new pump station we are requiring a VFD drive for each main pump. A generator hookup is also required. A fertigation system will also be a part of the pump station design plan. 2025 Paramus Golf Course Consultant Services for the Design of an Irrigation System Said proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope. The wording "RFQ - 2025 PARAMUS GOLF COURSE CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN OF AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM" must be written on the outer envelope. The envelope must bear the title of the proposal, the date of the opening and the name of and address of the bidder. All proposals shall include one (1) original set plus two (2) copies of the required documents to the Office of the Municipal Clerk. The Borough of Paramus reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof and to waive any informalities therein and to award the proposal in the best interest of the Borough
