Site work for a mixed-use development in Alexandria, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
CIP# 2022-00011 Construction services for roadway and sideway improvement along East Abingdon Drive north of the intersection with Slater Lane. The scope of work shall include, Exhibit I, Part I, Scope of Work; Exhibit II; Exhibit III; and any properly executed Purchase Order(s) issued pursuant to the Contract. The Contractor shall coordinate with City, as necessary, in performance of the services as set forth in the scope of work. The Contractor shall commence Work promptly after receipt of a fully executed Purchase Order. Receipt of a fully executed Purchase Order shall constitute written notice to proceed. The purpose of this project is to widen the existing trail (Mount Vernon Trail) along East Abingdon Drive, north of Slater's Lane. Currently, the trail is too narrow for trail users to comfortably pass each other. This project will widen the trail from approximately 4.5 feet to 10 feet, which is consistent with the rest of the Citys trail network and will allow trail users to pass side-by-side more comfortably.
