Renovation of a fire / police facility in Suffolk, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
As of August 28, 2025, the project was awarded to Apple Door System but the awarded amount is not available. Question Deadline 07/01/2025 Questions and inquiries pertaining to the Request for Proposals will be accepted from any and all firms via e-mail to jeturner@suffolkva.us or fax. Inquires must provide RFP number and title. RFP provided that all questions are received five business (5) days prior to opening date. The intent of this Request for Proposal is to establish a contract through competitive negotiation with a qualified firm to provide and install bay doors in City of Suffolk Fire Stations. The vendor will procure and install the equipment and provide maintenance. This is a "turn-key" project. The successful Offeror must provide all labor, materials, permits, and project management to install the doors. The proposal will include details of all installation, an installation schedule, warranties and any maintenance agreement. The proposal should include all items required for a complete and comprehensive solution, regardless of their inclusion in this RFP. The doors must be in strict conformance with the specifications in the Appendix. At this time, only Station #5 will be scheduled. Station #10 and other stations will be replaced as funding is available.
