Spartanburg School District 3, hereafter referred to as the "District", is accepting proposals from qualified contractors for General Contracting in accordance with the requirements of this solicitation. The specifications included herein are to be considered as providing minimum desirable features. Any limitations, deviations, or broader features quoted should be designated in your proposal. Otherwise, companies and agents submitting proposals will be held to the specifications. The District reserves the right to add or delete similar items/services in the contract documents as requirements change during the course of the contract. The District: Spartanburg School District 3 is composed of three (3) Elementary attendance areas, feeding two middle schools and one high school. The District consists of three (3) elementary schools, two (2) middle schools, one (1) high school, and one (1) career center. This RFP addresses only Broome High School. We serve approximately 3000 students and employ approximately 600 people. Spartanburg School District 3's general operating budget includes disbursements in excess of $24 million. Broome High School is located at 381 Cherry Hill Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, it is in need of new gym flooring (approx. 12,500 sqft). The floor is maple hardwood. - All installation is to be performed in a professional manner by experienced flooring installers. - Contractor is to supply and install , flooring system , any cove base needed, paint lines as specified. - Flooring - Action Flooring Anchorflex flooring system wall to wall Approx. 12,500 sqft. Using 25/32x2 1/2MFMA maple flooring (or comparable) - Two coats of Oil Modified Polyurethane sealer - Paint - standard game line basketball court striping for quote. But additional striping for pickle ball courts and other graphics (logos) and markings will be required. - Apply Two coats of Oil Modified Polyurethane finish. - Install new Vent cove base and thresholds and Volleyball cover plates. - Contractor is responsible for removal of existing floor to the concrete slab & disposal of the existing hardwood floor off site. - Contractor is responsible for having telescoping bleachers moved and replaced by a Sheridan certified Bleacher contractor. - Contractor is responsible for proper clean up and disposal of trash and remnants. - Work to begin on July 14, 2025 and be completed by August 1, 2025.
