Renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility in Nashville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,600-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility.

The vendor name, proposal number, open date and contractor's licensing information (if applicable) must be visible on the outside of the package. Proposals that cannot be identified cannot be processed. Proposals that are received late will not be considered. Failure to complete and return it may result in the rejection of your bid. Work will not begin until after July 1, 2025. State the number of calendar days to complete this project (after the contract has been signed). Quote prices that will remain open for acceptance through July 2, 2025. Licenses, Permits and Insurance: By signing this Request for Bid, Contractor certifies that it has all the licenses, permits, and insurance coverage necessary and proper to perform the work required by this quotation, and that it will keep all licenses, permits, and insurance coverage in full force and effect. Failure to maintain and possess the necessary licenses, permits, and insurance coverage constitutes a material breach and will permit NES to order the immediate stoppage of all work under any future Purchase Order. Prior to the opening of the envelope/box, the names of all contractors listed thereon shall be read aloud at the official Bid opening and incorporated into the RFB. If the envelope/box is not marked as required, and/or the vendor does not comply with the Act and amendments, the bid shall not be opened or considered and shall automatically be disqualified. All NES contracts are executed electronically via online. Indicate below the name, email address, and phone number of the person authorized to sign on behalf of your company. All questions pertaining to this RFB MUST be emailed to Bailey Allen at ballen1@nespower.com. The cut-off for all questions is 2:00PM local time, Friday, May 16, 2025. After this date, no questions pertaining to this RFB will be answered. The name, license number, expiration date, and license classification of any subcontractor being proposed for use on the project for electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation or air conditioning (except when the bid is less than $25,000) and masonry ($100,000 or more, including materials and labor). Although you may have received this RFB by email, your bid cannot be submitted using online. Submit your bid with an authorized signature, the inquiry number, opening date, your vendor number and company name clearly written on a sealed envelope. Exceptions taken to the NES Standard Purchasing Terms and /Conditions or any other NES Terms and Conditions that are considered to be part of this Request for Bid may result in the disqualification of your proposal. This specification describes the requirements for the removal and replacement of the roof for the Construction and Maintenance shop at 1214 Church St. Nashville, TN 37246, with approximately 2600 sf. 1. Contractor to provide 10 years of installation history of EPDM roofing systems by Carlisle or Firestone. 2. Contractor to comply with all local, state, and federal building codes. 3. Contractor to provide all costs associated with roofing work including (but not limited to) materials, labor, supervision, equipment, dumpsters, taxes, code compliance, permits, and insurance. 4. Contractor to provide full-time supervision of roofing crew to maintain highest standards of quality control and safety. 5. Provide full tear off from approximately 2600 sf. of existing coal tar pitch roofing system down to bare metal deck and dispose off-site in an approved landfill. Clean up and remove all debris when complete. 6. Inspect roofing area daily for damaged / deteriorated material decking. 7. Include allowance of 500 sf of metal deck replacement. 8. Furnish and install a 40 mil md vapor air seal barrier, 2" min. polyisocyanurate insulation boards meeting R30 code requirements, mechanically attached to metal deck. 9. Furnish and install sumps at roof drains and crickets in between drains to ensure positive drainage along drain lines. Sumps and crickets to be formed out of polyisocyanurate insulation. Install through the wall metal flashing as well as new scuppers and 24ga. bronze downspout drains. 10. Furnish and install 1/2" dens deck prime coverboard 4"x4", adhered insulation. 11. Furnish and install 60 mil non-reinforced pre-taped EPDM adhered rubber roofing system. Adjoining EPDM, rubber membranes are to be spliced together at a minimum of 6 inches using splicing cement, in-seam sealant, lap sealant, or equal. 12. EPDM roofing to be run approximately 4 in. up wall covering brick and terminated. 13. Furnish and install all new 6" 24 ga. bronze metal flashing around complete building and pinned to old existing flashing. 14. The roofing contractor shall be responsible for correction of any damage at the site and to the building. 15. Provide manufacture 20-year NDL material and labor warranty. 16. Provide contractors 3-year workmanship warranty. Spec-26-C & MROOF25
