All vendors expecting to respond to this IFB must attend the mandatory site visit at the time and location described herein. Late arrival for a pre-bid conference / site visit may be considered non-attendance and result in rejection of bid. Bids received from vendors who do not attend this meeting may not be considered and will be rejected. The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, technical expertise and other items necessary to provide all work under bid and in accordance with the specific requirements to perform PAINT SERVICES for areas of the Athens Community Career Academy to include interior painting services. All materials provided and work conducted shall be in accordance with State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), all Local, State and Federal Regulations and follow O.S.H.A. regulations. A commercial grade of Sherwin Williams paint will be selected by School District Project Manager and used for this project. Maps may be provided upon request. All work shall be completed during the summer break period [work to commence on MAY 22, 2025] and conclude by [JULY 26, 2025- final completion date]. Contractor must coordinate scheduling with the Project Manager. Please note that formal architectural or engineering drawings are not available for this project. However, an evacuation map of the facility will be provided as a general reference for spatial orientation and layout. Vendors are encouraged to attend the scheduled mandatory site visits to conduct any necessary measurements or assessments to support accurate proposal submissions. LOCATIONS ATHENS COMMUNITY CAREER ACADEMY Paint the following interior areas, including but not limited to: o Hallways o Bathrooms o Lobby A. INTERIOR PAINTING 1. Contractor shall furnish all paint, supplies and materials necessary to ensure the successful completion of this job. 2. Preparations for interior painting that must be completed before paint can be applied are as follows: a) All surfaces must be prepared to paint manufacturer's specifications before application. b) All loose paint shall be removed with a scraper. c) All glossy areas must be dulled with sandpaper or steel wool. d) All surfaces to be painted must be dry, free of dirt, mildew, loose paint, excessive caulk, oil, grease or other foreign matter. e) All staples, tape, thumbtacks and nails must be removed. All holes will be filled and cracks caulked. f) All bare wood, galvanized metal, and concrete not previously painted with primer must be sealed. Prime water stains and areas in need of primer when necessary. g) All damaged surfaces are to be reported to the CCSD Project Manager for repair prior to painting. h) All stationary objects that are not to be painted will be protected such as the wall mural. i) Cover or remove any and all items such as floors, lights, windows, natural woodwork, speakers, smoke alarms, ceramic tile, heating and ale vents, chalkboards, mirrors, exit signs, smoke detectors, security system apparatus, shades, wires, switch plates, outlets, TVs, movie screens, counter tops, thermostats, heaters, sinks, clock, canopy, coats hooks, cork strips, plastic display boards, aluminum frame boards, and murals on walls. j) Replace when painting is dry and completed. 3. Contractor shall paint where there is existing paint. 4. Contractor will be responsible for replacing all items removed from area prior to painting. B. APPLICATION 1. Do not apply finish to wet or damp surfaces. Surfaces conditions shall be within the manufacturer's recommendation. 2. Apply paint with suitable brushes, rollers or spray equipment. 3. Follow manufacturer's recommendation for drying times between succeeding coats. Do not apply paint to damp or wet surfaces. 4. Comply with manufacturer's recommendation as environmental conditions under which coatings can be applied.
