Renovation of an educational facility in Norwalk, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,850-square-foot educational facility.
construction/renovations of Baseball and Softball fields as well as a Concessions Building consisting of a one story building of approximately 1850 sq.ft. The building houses Concessions and Restrooms and is constructed of masonry walls and steel roof structure.t Norwalk High School located in Norwalk, IA. Lump-sum bids will be received for: o General Construction including Mechanical and Electrical Construction. Construction may begin at the end of the 2025 baseball/softball season and following Owner receipt and approval of required Contracts, Bonds and Insurance. The Owner requires that the Project be Substantially Complete on or before the 15th day of May, 2026 The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. Bidders will be required to provide security deposit in the form of a Bid Bond executed by a corporation authorized to contract as surety in the State of Iowa, cashiers or certified check drawn on a solvent Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or certified share draft drawn on a credit unit in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of a sum not less than 5 percent of the Base Price/Sum. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities or irregularities allowed by law and to enter into such Contract or Contracts as may be deemed in the best interests of the Norwalk Community School District. This Project is tax exempt. Do Not include Iowa State Sales Tax in any calculation of Bid totals. Contractors and Suppliers will be provided an Iowa sales tax exemption certificate for this Project. Question Deadline 05/13/2025 Direct questions in writing to the Architect/Engineer. Submit questions not less than 7 days before date set for receipt of Bids. Replies will be made by Addenda.
