This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 27% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on July 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering services are required to provide construction engineering for the subject project. Work included, but is not limited to, complete removal and replacement of the Laramie Avenue bridge, including widening of the deck to provide a U-turn lane, retaining wall construction to facilitate future I-290 improvements, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk replacement, various drainage improvements, signing, pavement markings, bridge and underpass lighting, and traffic signal modernization at W. Harrison Street/Laramie Avenue, W. Flournoy Street/Laramie Avenue, and W. Lexington Street/Laramie Avenue, all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project. The following structures are included in this project: o S.N. 016-2064: existing S. Laramie Avenue over I-290 o S.N. 016-2015: proposed S. Laramie Avenue over I-290 o S.N. 016-W2545: new S. Laramie Avenue over I-290 o S.N. 016-W2546: new S. Laramie Avenue over I-290 The anticipated construction completion date is October 31, 2027. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of only the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS). The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
