The City of Wichita is seeking bids from firm(s) to provide construction services for the Public Works & Utilities Department. 1051+60 Levee F 5252-0022 (1)-42" N of K96 & I235 Interchange 091+50 Levee F 5252-0023 5252-0024 (2)-36" 45 th St N extended E between West St & Meridian Ave Question Deadline 05/21/2025 at 12:00 PM CT Location online portal. BIDDERS ARE ADVISED TO CONTACT THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ENGINEER (316-268-4501) SHOULD THEY HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT THE PLANS, SPECIAL OR SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS, MINORITY STATUS, OR THE PROPER PREPARATION OF THE BID DOCUMENT. Flap Gate and Project General Notes 1. The following flap gate parts shall be installed on each gated structure per manufacturer's specifications and recommendations: o Hydro Gate Model 50C or approved equivalent o Cast iron flat back seat o Cast iron cover o PPG Amerlock 400 high-solids epoxy coating or approved equivalent o Bronze seating faces o Stainless type 304 links o Bronze bushings o Stainless steel fasteners o Stainless steel anchor bolts o Rubber bumpers, anti-sway bars and rubber seats (pump discharge applications) 2. The gates shall be thoroughly cleaned and inspected. The portions of the gate requiring lubrication shall be maintained as recommended by the manufacturer. 3. The gates shall be brought to full operation and demonstrated by the manufacturer's representative and the Contractor prior to City acceptance. 4. Steel gate components shall be painted and/or sealed as recommended by the manufacturer. 5. The rehabilitation construction details shall be prepared by the manufacturer and submitted by the Contractor for shop drawing review by the Stormwater Engineer or Flood Control Supervisor. 6. The Contractor will field verify existing structure locations and any necessary parts, materials and labor needed to complete the structure rehabilitation prior to construction. Any additional necessary parts, materials and labor during construction must be approved by the Stormwater Engineer or Flood Control Supervisor. 7. The Contractor is responsible for the removal of all materials from the sites. 8. The Project will be completed no later than December 20, 2025, after parts and materials have been received and accepted by the Contractor and the City.
