Renovation of a mixed-use development in Burlington, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and water / sewer project.
The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids or to award such contract as in its judgment is deemed to the best interest of the City. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. City of Burlington personnel will discuss project requirements and the Engineer will be available to discuss the project and answer pertinent . The contract to be awarded for the proposed work may be extended up to fifty (50%) percent of the contract price without consent and permission of the contractor, and an additional fifty (50%) with the consent and permission of the contractor. This extension may be outside the project limits, at the discretion of the City Engineer. All extensions shall include time extensions as determined by the City Engineer based on the dollar amount of the extension in relationship to the original Contract time. Total extensions not to exceed one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. All contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under North Carolina State Laws governing their respective trades..
