Renovation of a transportation facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Thunder Bay International Airports Authority (TBIAA), is preparing to reconfigure the existing layout of the 2nd floor of the Air Terminal Building under a progressive design-build approach. The reconfiguration will happen in 2 Phases; Phase 1 to reconfigure the pre-board screening area, expand the secure side departure lounge and re-locate the Gift Shop, and Phase 2 will expand the secure side departure lounge and provide a new restaurant on the secure side. Both phases will involve infilling a portion of the area "open-to-below" on the 2nd level, approximately 145m² for Phase 1 and 193m² for Phase 2.
