As of October 9, 2025, a construction manager has been selected and this project is in the pre-construction/negotiated status. Design is expected to be completed in spring 2026. It is anticipated bidding will commence in spring 2026 with construction following in 2026. determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Medina County Sanitary Engineers is seeking qualifications statements from firms to provide Construction Manager at Risk ("CMAR") services. The Westfield WTP is located at 7064 Greenwich Road, Westfield Center, Ohio 44273. Overall, the WTP upgrade will include an increase in WTP capacity from 0.6 MGD to 1.0 MGD, removal and replacement of the existing primary water treatment equipment, including a pressure storage tank, pressure filters, ion exchange (IX) vessels, and appurtenances, new sodium hypochlorite and soda ash feed rooms, new distribution (finished water) pumps, building expansions to house the new treatment equipment and new distribution pumps, new electrical and controls equipment, including a backup generator, and HVAC upgrades. The upgrade will also include complete remodeling of the administrative facilities (office, laboratory, restrooms), to meet modern standards. MCSE is presently considering an alternative approach to demolish and re-build these facilities.
