Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Saint Helen, Michigan. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The DNR requests phase 300-500 Professional Engineering services for the design and permitting of a new bridge structure over Marsh Creek and the removal of the existing crossing. The new bridge shall be a minimum of 14'-0" in width and designed for H20 loading. Service life of new bridge abutments should be 70+ years. Traffic on this bridge includes: ORV's, snowmobiles, trail and forest maintenance equipment. Professional services to include topographic survey, geotechnical investigation, wetland delineation, LARA BCC Plan Reviews, EGLE/USACE permits. The project site is in a large wetland area within the Au Sable State Forest. The original bridge crossing has failed, and a temporary bridge placed over this crossing. The original bridge is likely a repurposed rail car bed, the presence of piers or foundations are unknown. There are no exiting topographic, geotechnical investigations or drawings available for the existing bridge. Question Deadline 05/28/2025 at 2:00 PM ET Please do not submit online questions via VSS.
