The Slave Lake Wildfire Area requires the services of an experienced, and qualified Contractor to provide janitorial services for the three (4) buildings located at: 2810 Neewatin Drive, in Wabasca, Alberta. Contractor shall ensure that all of the Contractor's employees providing the service are aware that government facilities are non-smoking areas and that alcohol and illegal drugs are not permitted. A disregard for these policies by the Contractor's employees shall result in the employee's removal from government facilities. The Contractor agrees to arrange and provide for all transportation necessary to deliver supplies and staff to the Ranger Station and Bunkhouses at no additional cost to the Department. Sub-contracting of Services will not be permitted. Building 1: Ranger Station cleaning specifications Total square footage - 2090 Carpet - 1875 Linoleum - 215 Building 2: Bunkhouse A cleaning specifications Total square footage - 1175 Linoleum - 382 Ceramic Tile - 120 Carpet - 673 Building 3: Bunkhouse B cleaning specifications Total square footage - 875 Linoleum - 275 Carpet - 600 Building 4: Trailer - Bunkhouse C Cleaning Specifications Total Square Footage - 1000 Linoleum -400 Carpet - 600 An important aspect of these services is that government employees will be able to work and stay in a safe and welcoming physical space. The successful Proponent will be an important partner in providing a welcoming physical space for personnel to temporary work and reside while performing pre-suppression and suppression duties. The Proponent will provide a healthy, clean, safe and sanitary environment for personnel, contractors, vendors and the public who visit the Ranger Station. (1) The Contractor shall provide all janitorial services, cleaning and sanitizing supplies, equipment, toiletries and staff at the above locations, including commercial grade liquid hand soap, toilet paper and hand drying towels. (2) The Contractor shall maintain the facilities/equipment in a clean and sanitary manner, including but not limited to the Services outlined in Appendix B. Services will be required as follows: Ranger Station Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday (a) Empty and disinfect all garbage containers into yard bin; (b) Wipe and clean all counters, desks and tables; (c) Vacuum all carpeted areas; (d) Clean washrooms; (e) Wash entrance and washroom floors; (f) Replace paper towel, toilet paper and soap in the washrooms as required. Have a least one extra on hand. (g) Replace paper towel in the coffee room as required. Have at least one extra on hand. Weekly (a) Dust all surfaces (furniture/windowsills/telephones/computer screens/filing cabinets); (b) Clean the sink in the coffee room. Monthly (a) Wash front entrance windows and front and side entrance doors. Annually (a) Wash all walls; (b) Steam clean all carpeted areas; (c) Clean all window blinds; (d) Wash all windows (interior and exterior). Bunkhouses A & B & C From April 1st to August 31st, all duties listed below are to be conducted twice a week. From September 1st to March 31st, all duties listed below are to be conducted weekly. (a) Sweep floors in the kitchen, bathroom and unoccupied bedrooms, vacuum hallway, empty garbage. (b) Clean washrooms. (c) Wash all floors. (d) Replace paper towel, toilet paper and soap in washrooms as required; and have at least one extra on hand. Annually (a) Wash walls, clean stove, fridge and freezer (after August 31st). Christmas Closure Daily Check-in During the scheduled government Christmas break, the Contractor will be required to complete a daily walk through of all buildings and facilities to ensure that the heat is operational and that there are no issues with water lines and such freezing. The scheduled break can be coordinated with the staff based in Wabasca to ensure that there is coverage over this time frame.
